Faculty and Staff Promotions

Alfred State College recently announced promotions for faculty and staff.  Included among those receiving promotions in the area of Academic Affairs were Marjorie Morgan, from keyboard specialist to secretary 1; and Sue Ann Kring, from keyboard specialist to program agency aide, Registrar's Office; Edward Derowitsch, from assistant to associate professor, Electrican, Computer and Robotics Technician; William Bigelow, from instructor to assistant professor, Building Trades; Sue Cole, from secretary 1 to secretary 2, Dean's Office, School of Arts and Sciences; James Buell, from assistant to associate professor, Mathematics and Physics; Gary Lounsberry and Regina Pollard, from associate to full professor, Social and Behavioral Sciences; Joseph Damrath and Dianne Tuzzolino, from assistant to associate professor, Business Department; William Dean, from associate to full professor, Computer Imaging and Architectural Engineering Technology; Joseph Petrick, from associate to librarian and Jane Vavala, from senior assistant to associate librarian, Hinkle Memorial Library. In the Division of Student Affairs, promotions were earned by Kelly Hint, from secretary 1 to secretary 2, Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs; Michael Caba, from staff assistant to senior staff assistant, Athletics; and in the area of Administration and Enrollment: Steven Scott and Jeffrey Brewster, from cleaner to SUNY campus worker 1, Facilities Services; Rachel Russo and Mike Houghtaling, from cleaner to janitor, Facilities Services; and Mary Monroe, from calculations clerk 2 to accountant aide, Business Affairs. Staffers were honored at a luncheon at the end of the semester.
