Gross Breaks School Record at Penn Relays

Submitted by WelkerPM on Fri, 04/24/2009 - 4:14pm

David Gross (Brockport) broke the Alfred State College outdoor track and field record in the shot put on Friday morning while competing at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, PA.

Gross recorded a toss of 50'2.75" to break the previous Pioneer best toss of JR Houston (50'2").  His toss unfortunately did not qualify him for the final round.

Dan Reynolds (Wayland Cohocton) also participated in the Penn Relays in the pole vault but did not place.

The rest of the Pioneers travel to SUNY Geneseo on Saturday for the SUNY G Invitational.  Action is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
