LAX Downs Broome

The Alfred State College lacrosse team improved to 6-1 with a 16-7 victory over Broome CC on Thursday.  The Pioneers have now won four in a row.

Ryan Grogan (Churchville Chili) led the offense with four goals and three assists while Ryan Speciale (Corning West) finished with three goals and two assists.  Tony Micelotta (Irondeqouit) registered a hat trick, Josh Mateo (Waterloo) scored twice and had an assist, and William Ardolino (William Floyd) netted two goals.  James Moss (Hilton) and Ben Rossignolo (Churchville Chili) each scored once while Tyler Baird (Corning West) was credited with an assist.

Marshall Merritt (Marcellus) continued his solid play in net by making 16 saves.

The Pioneers have a few days off before heading to Rochester on Tuesday for a 4 p.m. showdown with Monroe CC.
