Alfred State College sophomore Dan Reynolds earned 1st team All-American status by winning the pole vault title at the NJCAA National Championship at Texas Tech University. Reynolds becomes just the second Pioneer during Coach Gary Moore's tenure to win an indoor title (Damien Rodriquez - 1997 in the pole vault).
Reynolds' vault of 15'5.75" (4.72 m) proved to the winner as he bested his previous best vault of 4.50 m (Kane Invitational @ Cornell on 2/14).
Reynolds helped the Pioneers to a 14th place finish out of 29 teams.
Alfred State opens up the outdoor season on March 21 when they travel to the Howard CC Invitational.
