Travis Brannen (Elmira Free) had a career high 42 points as the Alfred State College men's basketball team wrapped up their six-game road trip with a 86-73 victory over Mercyhurst North East on Tuesday.  ASC finishes the road trip 5-1 and improves to 16-11 (7-5 WNYAC) on the season.

Brannen was 19 for 26 from the field and 4 for 6 from the foul line as he recorded the most points in a game by a Pioneer in Head Coach Jerry Jusianiec's nine years at the helm of the program.  Brannen added 17 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks in 35 minutes of action.  He scored 25 of his points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the 1st half as ASC jumped out to a 48-28 halftime lead.

Dan Foley (Irondequoit) continued his solid play as of late finishing with 14 points, 16 rebounds, and eight assists.  Neil Wilson (Ft. Worth, TX) added 11 points while Chris Lorenzo (Syracuse/Corcoran) and Geoff Hicks (Buffalo/Hutch Tech) each finished with seven points.  Hick added 11 rebounds as ASC outrebounded MNE 56 to 34.

Diontez May led the Saints (9-14, 4-8 WNYAC) with 21 points while Meech Drayton had a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds.

The Pioneers return to the Orvis Activities Center for the first time in nearly two weeks on Thursday when they host Monroe CC at 7:30 p.m.
