ASC Hosted Congressman Massa

Alfred State College recently hosted Congressman Eric J. J. Massa (D-29^th District) and his "2009 Western New York Regional Agriculture Summit." The freshman representative invited local and regional farmers, the NYS Farm Bureau, Cooperative Extensions, and others to share their concerns and grievances in order to help educate him so he can accurately and responsibly represent them in Congress and, more particularly, on the House Agriculture Committee, an appointment he diligently sought.  Scores of dairy and crop farmers, both conventional and organic, from around the state attended the event and found a receptive ear in the Congressman.
