Pioneers Down Genesee

The Alfred State College men's basketball team shot 48% from beyond the three-point arc in a 80-63 WNYAC road victory at Genesee CC.  The Pioneers have won four straight and improve to 12-10 overall and 4-4 in WNYAC action.

Travis Brannen (Elmira Free) led the way with 23 points, eight rebounds, and three blocks.  Neil Wilson (Ft. Worth, TX) was 5 for 10 from three en route to a 21 point performance.  Wilson also added six rebounds and five assists.  Chris Lorenzo (Syracuse/Corcoran) was 5 for 8 from three, finishing with 19 points and six rebounds.  Dan Foley (Irondequoit) had a solid all around game chipping in nine points, six rebounds, and six assists.

ASC led 37-36 at half.  They finished the day 12 for 25 from three and held a huge 56 to 27 advantage on the boards.

ASC continues their six-game road trip on Saturday when they travel to Niagara CCC for a 3 p.m. tilt with the Trailblazers.
