Strong Second Half Leads Niagara over ASC

The Alfred State College men's basketball team led 27-22 at half but were outscored 41-26 in the second half and fell 63-53 to Niagara CCC in a WNYAC contest at the Orvis Activities Center on Tuesday evening.  ASC falls to 7-8 overall and 1-2 in WNYAC play.

Franklin Harris led all scorers with 19 points while Dyrell Dolson recorded a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds.  NCCC shot just 25.7% from the field in the first half but got going in the second hal shooting 59.3% including 4 for 6 from three. 

Neil Wilson (Ft. Worth, TX) led the Pioneers with 15 pionts while Travis Brannen (Elmira Free) chipped in 10 points and seven boards.  Chris Lorenzo (Syracuse/Corcoran) finished with nine points, 10 boards, and four assists while Idiris Alaka (Brooklyn) added eight points and eight rebounds.  ASC shot 37.5% (21 for 56) from the field and was outrebounded 42 to 39.

The Pioneers hit the road on Thursday for a 7:30 p.m. contest at Jamestown CC.
