Pioneers fall to Niagara

The Alfred State College wrestling team could never get much going as they fell 42-3 to Niagara CCC in a WNYAC battle on Wednesday evening.  ASC falls to 0-4 (0-3 WNYAC) on the season.

Darren Whittall (Starpoint) picked up the lone victory for the Pioneers.  He downed Russ Wojtosiak 7-1 in the 141 lb. match-up.

The Pioneers return to action on Saturday when they host their annual tournament.  Joining Alfred State in the tournament will be Niagara CCC, Jamestown CC, Mercyhurst North East, Oswego, Ithaca, and Binghamton.  Action is set to begin 10 a.m .
