Lady Pioneers fall to U of R

The Alfred State College women's basketball team fell 72-65 to the JV squad from the University of Rochester on Thursday evening.  U of R was 12 for 13 from the foul line to seal the victory.

Sarah Glacken led the Yellowjackets (3-0) with 28 points while Michelle Ketchem chipped in 15 points and nine boards.

Brittney Brooks (Elmira Free) led the way for the Lady Pioneers with 19 points and nine rebounds.  Gina Moss (Buffalo/Hutch Tech) finished with 14 points while Ayana Rhodes (Buffalo/East Ridge) chipped in 12 points and seven rebounds.

ASC (3-6) will return to action on Sunday when they travel to Elmira to take on the JV Soaring Eagles at 2 p.m.
