Pioneers fall versus Finger Lakes

The Alfred State College men's basketball team rallied from a 22-point second half deficit to cut it to three, 67-64, but couldn't make it all the way back and fell 69-64 to Finger Lakes CC.  ASC falls to 6-6 on the season.

Jorge Ebanks led the Lakers with 18 points while Jordan Koch and Dom Mazzochi each finished with 11 each.  Darrin Martindale came off the bench and chipped in 10.

Dan Foley (Irondequoit) led the Pioneers with 23 points and 15 rebounds while Terrell Williams (Rochester/Marshall) chipped in 12 points and seven rebounds.  Travis Brannen (Elmira Free) had a big second half and finished with 11 points and eight boards.

Alfred State was slowed by 34.5% shooting and 27 turnovers while FLCC shot 41.3% and turned the ball over 16 times.

In the final seconds, Alfred State trailed 67-64 with the basketball but the a shot was blocked and FLCC grabbed the rebound to secure the victory.

The Pioneers have a week off before beginning WNYAC play on December 9th when they host Genesee CC at 7:30 p.m.
