Submitted by WelkerPM on Sat, 11/15/2008 - 11:35pm

The Alfred State College men's basketball team evened up their record at 4-4 with a 71-69 victory at Orange CCC on Saturday.  ASC led by 16 at half and had to hold on late in the game to secure the victory.

Dan Foley (Irondequoit) scored 18 points (16 in the 1st half) to lead the Pioneers.  Daniel Odiase (James Monroe) finished with 12 points (connected on four three pointers late in the 1st half), Terrell Williams (Marshall) also chipped in 12 (10 in the 2nd half), and Travis Brannen (Elmira Free) netted 11 points all in the 2nd half.

The Colts missed a foul shot and tip attempt as time expired in the contest.  Alfred State shot 16 for 19 from the foul line while Orange was 16 for 32.

ASC looks to climb above .500 for the first time in the season on Thursday when they travel to Ithaca to take on the JV Bombers.  Tip-off is slated for 8 p.m.
