Lady Pioneers drop close one

The Alfred State College women's basketball team dropped a tight battle at Orange CCC 68-62 on Saturday.  The Lady Pioneers are now 1-4 on the season.

Ayanna Rhodes (Buffalo/East Ridge) and Brittany Brooks (Elmira Free) each scored 14 points to lead the way for ASC.  Sherelle Brooks (Elmira Free) and Gina Moss (Buffalo/Hutch Tech) each chipped in 11 points.

The Lady Pioneers were slowed down by 13 for 27 shooting from the foul line.

Alfred State has a week off before opening up play in the annual Alfred State Tournament on November 22nd vs. Jefferson CC.  Tip-off is scheduled for Noon.  Dean College (MA) will take on Mohawk Valley CC at 2 p.m. in the other contest.
