Submitted by WelkerPM on Tue, 11/11/2008 - 8:39pm

With the game tied at 6-6 early in the first half, Cayuga CC went on a 16-0 run and never let Alfred State fight all the way back en route to a 86-68 victory.  The Lady Pioneers fall to 1-3 on the season.

Caitlyn Dillard led the Lady Spartans with 26 points while Corrissa Quattrini recorded a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds.  Ryan Iannello finished with 16 and Shakeema Green chipped in 12 points.

Brittney Brooks (Elmira Free) led ASC with 21 points and seven boards while Gina Moss (Buffalo/East Ridge) had 20 points and 11 rebounds.  Megan Coates (Rochester/Nazareth) came off the bench and chipped in 10 points and seven rebounds.

Cayuga shot 50% (36 for 72) from the field while Alfred State shot just 44.1% (30 for 68).  The Pioneers were slowed down by 26 turnovers while the Spartans lost the ball 16 times.

The Pioneers have a few days off before traveling to Orange CCC on Saturday for a 1 p.m. tip-off versus the Lady Colts.
