Pioneer Soccer Remains Ranked Fifth

The Alfred State men's soccer team remains ranked fifth in the latest NJCAA Division III poll after going 2-1 in last week's action.  This is the ninth week in a row that the Pioneers have been ranked in the top 15.

The Pioneers finished their season with a loss to top ranked Herkimer CCC in the Region III Division III finals.  Alfred State finishes the season 14-4 overall and 14-2 in Division III play.  The season included 11 shutouts and eight consecutive shutouts.

The Pioneers were honored with six All-WNYAC selections and three All-Region III selections.  Jason Durst (Gates-Chili) was named first team All-Region and second team All-WNYAC.  Caleb Drake (Jasper-Troupsburg) and Hiroshi Ozaki (Tokyo, Japan) were named first team All-WNYAC and second team All-Region.  Lucas Wales (Haverling) and Dan Fabiny (Wellsville) were named first team All-WNYAC and Kevin Arilotta (Churchville-Chili) was named second team All-WNYAC.
