Wrestlers Compete at UB

The Alfred State College wrestling team opened up their 2008-09 campaign at the University of Buffalo Open on Sunday.  Eight Pioneers competed in the non team scoring tournament that featured Division I schools, Ohio State, Edinboro, Rutgers, Duquesne, and Binghamton.

Former Pioneer Jamie Luckett, now wrestling at Clarion, took home 2nd place at 197 lbs.  In 2007, Luckett finished 2nd at the NJCAA National Championship.

ASC will have a few days to prepare for their WNYAC dual meet opener.  The Pioneers travel to Mercyhurst North East on November 13 to take on the Saints at 7 p.m.
