ASC Plans Eventful Homecoming/Family Weekend

Alfred State College Homecoming/Family Weekend is September 11-14, 2008. A number of activities have been scheduled including tours of the campus, a Rusted Root concert, several athletic games, alumni group reunion gatherings, comedian Richie Byrne, and a tailgate party prior to the football game. A Gold Rush get together, located in the Alumni Plaza, will be a western theme complete with a mechanical bull, photo booth, western shooting gallery, carnival games, and light refreshments. You can even have caricatures of you and your family drawn! Hay rides will be available circling the campus. Visit the homecoming/family weekend page for an up-to-date schedule of events and times. Registration may be done online before 4 p.m. Tuesday, September 9. Those who process their payment online pay one price of $20 ($15 for children under 12) for the entire weekend's events. Registration after September 9 can be done in person at the Orvis Activities Center beginning 9 a.m. Thursday, September 11, until the time of the event.

The cost for each separate event is:

  • $5 for ASC students, ASC alumni, and family members of ASC students
  • $10 for general admission
• Tailgate party - $9
• Sunday brunch - $9
• Football game - $2
• Historical walking tour of the Village of Alfred with continental breakfast - $2
