Tracksters wrap up regular season at Cornell

The Alfred State College track & field team wrapped up the regular season with a strong showing at the Big Red Invitational at Cornell University.  The Pioneers had four athletes place in the competition that featured NCAA Division I, Division III, and NJCAA schools.

Najia McGee (Rochester/Edison) finished 3rd in the 200 (26.34) whiel Dan Fabiny (Wellsville) finished 3rd in the 100 (11.14) and 4th in the 200 (22.38).  Alvin Flemming (Eastridge) was 5th in the 100 (11.27) while Andy Omoregie (Gates Chili) was 6th in the high jump (1.89 m).

Dan Reynolds (Wayland Cohocton) did not place in the pole vault but recorded a season best 4.20 m vault.

The Blue and Gold now shift their focus to the Region III Championships that take place next Friday and Saturday at Alfred State.  Action is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. on Friday.
