Home ›Lax climbs into NJCAA Poll
The Alfred State College lacrosse team has jumped in to the NJCAA national poll for the first time in 2008. The Pioneers are currently ranked #10.
The Blue and Gold is 6-2 overall and 5-1 in Region III play. The team is one of five squads from Region III represented in the poll. Herkimer CCC is ranked #1, Onondaga CC #2, Monroe CC #7, and Hudson Valley CC #9.
Bill Jolly (Waterloo) leads the tam with 26 goals and 10 assists while Josh Mateo (Waterloo) has recorded 17 goals and 15 assists. Deljae Edwards (Syracuse/Nottingham) has been tough in net with a 4-1 record and a 10.55 goals against average.
A-State returns to action on Friday looking to rebound from their first Region III loss when they travel to Finger Lakes CC. Opening face-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.
