Boys Like Girls Played at ASC
On Thursday, April 10, 2008, the band Boys Like Girls played to over 1,100 students at the Orvis Gymnasium on the Alfred State College campus. Boys Like Girls played billboard hits like The Great Escape and Hero/Heroine, from their self-titled album. Opening for the headliners were two up-and-coming bands from New Jersey, Cash Cash and Runaway Orange. The band members from Boys Like Girls met with 30 local students and signed autographs prior to the show. They also were interviewed by local radio and newspaper press, including Alfred State's William Hess from 90.7 WETD and Alex Nowak from the college's own student newspaper, the Tor Echo. Boys Like Girls rejoins "The Best Damn Tour" this week with Avril Lavigne in Virginia and then on to Georgia.
