A-State falls to Del Tech

The Alfred State College lacrosse team couldn't overcome a slow start and fell 18-11 to Delaware Tech on Friday afternoon.  The Pioneers trailed 11-5 at half and see their record even up at 1-1 while Del Tech improves to 2-3.

Ben Rosignolo (Churchville) led the Blue and Gold's scoring attack with a hat trick while Bill Jolly (Waterloo) and Ryan Grogan (Churchville) each picked up three points with two goals and an assist.  William Ardolino (William Floyd) netted two goals, Brandon Moyer (Cazenovia) scored once and had two assists, and Cory Mee (Churchville) scored a goal.  Josh Mateo (Waterloo) passed out two assists and Mitch Wensel (Corning East) was credited with an assist.

Jeff Fabbri (West Warwick, RI) made 16 saves in net for the Pioneers.

ASC begins their home campaign next Saturday when they take on Herkimer CCC at 1 p.m.
