When we got into Florida we checked into our villas and went to the outdoor pool for practice.  After practice we went back to the villas and settled in.

In the morning we went to the pool for another practice.  After practice we went to the beach for the day.  Later that afternoon we went back to the villas to get ready for the banquet.  At the banquet there were different speakers and a pasta dinner.  At the end of the banquet we had a gift exchange with all the other teams.  Then we came back to the villa to get some sleep.

We got to sleep in all day!  We left to go to the pool around 3:30 p.m. for warm up and the start of the meet was at 6 p.m.  The 400 medley relay and the 800 free relay were tonight.  I was very surprised on some of the times that everyone was getting.

Competing at an outdoor pool was a lot different than a usual indoor meet.  It started to storm so everyone had to leave the deck and go into the gym until the storm passed over.  But it was a great experience swimming in the rain, in the sunny light, and in the dark.

It was beautiful all day until it was time to swim the finals!  Prelims went very well though, with lots of sunshine!

Warm ups for finals started at 4 p.m., but it was storming.  We had to sit in the gym for about an hour until the storm passed.  The meet finally began around 7:30 p.m..  The events today were the 200 freestyle relay, 500 freestyle, 200 IM, and the 50 freestyle.  The boys did very well in the 200 freestyle relay and the individual events went well also.  However, it rained through the whole meet.

Today was beautiful!!  It was a longer day of events.  We had the 200 medley relay, 400 IM, 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, and 100 backstroke.  There were a lot of events but it went quickly because we had no weather problems!  Again, everyone swam very well.

Right now we are only 5 points behind Monroe.  A news channel was at the meet and we were able to watch the news that night about the National Championships!

Today was our last day =(  It was cold today compared to all the other days.  The events today were the 1650 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, 200 butterfly, and the 400 freestyle relay.

Again, everyone swam great!  Going into the 400 freestyle relay, we were ahead of all the non-scholarship teams.  The boys in the relay were pumped and did awesome!

The meet ended with Indian River winning the National Championships, the men's Alfred State team winning the non-scholarship National Championships!   The women finished 9th overall, out of fifteen.
