Alfred State College sophomore Keith Dziak (Buffalo/Bishop Timon) qualified for the NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championship with a solid run at the Marc Denault Invitational at Cornell University.
Dziak ran the 500 m dash in 1:07.21 to earn 3rd place in the event and earn a spot in the National Championships March 7-8 at Eastern Illinois University. Dziak will join teammates Andy Omoregie (Gates Chili) and Broncho Rollins (Ithaca) at the National Championships.
Alvin Flemming (Eastridge) earned a 2nd place finish in the 60 m dash. His time of 6.96 missed national qualifying standards by just three hundreths of a second.
Omoregie also placed for A-State in the 60 m hurdles. He finished in 7th place with a time of 8.97.
A-State will next compete at the National Championships on March 7 and 8 at Eastern Illinois.
