Lady Pioneers fall to Monroe

The Alfred State College women's basketball team could never get anything going and fell 100-43 to NJCAA Division I power Monroe CC on Saturday.  The Lady Pioneers fall to 12-6 (3-2 WNYAC) on the season.

Tiffany McLaughlin (Wellsville) led the Lady Pioneers with 14 points while Anthia Smith chipped in 12 points.  The Lady Pioneers were held to 33.3% (17 for 51) shooting and turned the ball over 30 times.

Brittany Hilliard led five Lady Tribunes in double-figures with 18 points.  Caila Desroches added 15 points and 15 boards while Charmonique Watt finished with 15.  MCC shot 43.9% from the field and connected on nine three-pointers.

ASC returns to action on Tuesday to take on rival Jamestown CC at 5:30 p.m.
