ASC and AU to Host BOYS LIKE GIRLS

Alfred State College, in conjunction with Alfred University, will host its large spring concert on Thursday, April 10, 2008.  BOYS LIKE GIRLS, an American Pop Punk band from Chicopee, MA, will take the stage in the Orvis Activities Center on the Alfred State campus. 

BOYS LIKE GIRLS has been featured on MTV's Total Request Live, reaching the #1 most requested video.  The band also played the annual Vans Warped Tour which played throughout 45 different cities over the course of the summer of 2007. "Boys Like Girls," the group's self-titled debut album, has sold more than 500,000 copies, certifying it Gold, by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America).

This is the first of two concerts that Alfred State and Alfred University will be co-sponsoring this year, with the next concert being held on Alfred University's campus during Alfred's famous Hot Dog Day.

Tickets will go on sale on Monday, Feb. 18, to Alfred State and Alfred University students.  Ticket price is $5 for ASC and AU students and $10 for non-students, with more details to be released in the coming weeks.
