Pios down Cuyahoga

The Alfred State College men's basketball team improved to 6-1 on the season with a 83-75 victory over Cuyahoga (OH) CC on Friday evening.  Five Pioneers finished in double-figures in the victory.

Travis Brannen (Elmira Free) led the way with 22 points (10 for 17 shooting) and nine boards.  Dusty Marshall (Newfield) had a solid all-around game with 14 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists.  Fran Lantigua (Jamestown) added 14 points and six boards, Cerrone Jackson (Forrest Hills) finished with 12 points, and Jimmie Dillard (Gates Chili) chipped in 10 points and eight boards.

Rudy Evans led the Challengers with 21 points while Tim Zephyr finished with 20 points and eight rebounds.

The Blue and Gold play their final game before the Thanksgiving break on Sunday when they host Monroe College of NYC at 1 p.m. at the Orvis Activities Center.
