Lady Pioneers fall to Genesee

The Alfred State College volleyball team saw their 17-match winning streak snapped in their WNYAC regular season finale.  Genesee CC improved to 29-12 (6-0 WNYAC) and secured the #1 seed with a 30-13, 30-24, 20-30, 30-19. 

ASC, ranked #5 in Division III of the NJCAA, falls to 25-3 (5-1 WNYAC).  The loss also snapped a 16 match regular season home winning streak.

Brianne McMahon (Buffalo/Sweet Home) led the Blue and Gold with 17 digs and 15 kills while Jenni Jerome (Syrause/Westhill) added 15 digs and 13 kills.  Shannon Jablonski (Cheektowaga) finished with 17 kills and nine digs, Georgia Buchholz (Andover) added 15 digs and seven kills, and Natalie Gregory (Iroquois) passed out 34 assists.

Alfred State will be the #2 seed in Saturday's WNYAC championships to be played at Jamestown CC.  Times and pairings will be announced Friday afternoon.
