Pioneers make it four straight

The Alfred State College men's soccer team downed Jamestown CC 3-1 to earn their fourth straight victory and improve to 7-6-1 on the year (7-4-1 in Region III Division III play).

After a scoreless first half, Tyler Paulsen (Letchworth) scored after getting a pass from Dustin Falkner (Letchworth).  Jamestown answered right back with a goal by Eric Fish.

Eric Nichols (Holland) gave the Pioneers the lead for good when he scored after getting a pass from Alex Curran (Williamson).  Dom Bisone (Tonawanda) scored his first goal of the year less than two minutes later when he capitatlized on a penalty kick opportunity.

Tommy Vitro (Margaretville) made eight saves in net including a crucial penalty kick stop in the first quarter.

The Pioneers close out the regular season on Friday when they host Cayuga CC at 4 p.m. on Muland Hill Field.
