Jerome adds National Honor, Team remains ranked 9th

Alfred State College freshman outside hitter Jenni Jerome (Syracuse/Westhill) has been named the NJCAA Division III hitter of the week.  Jerome helped lead the Lady Pioneers to a 8-0 record last week.

During that stretch, Jerome averaged 3.8 kills (69 kills), 1.8 digs (32 digs), and 0.7 (12 blocks) blocks per game.  She had 13 kills vs. Onondaga CC, 11 vs. Fulton Montgomery, and nine vs. Jamestown in the championship game of the OCC Tournament.

Jerome had been previously named the MVP of the OCC Tournament, the Region III Female Athlete of the Week, and the Alfred State Athlete of the Week.

In the latest NJCAA Division III poll, the Lady Pioneers remained ranked #9.  The Blue and Gold, currently 17-2, take on #7 Corning CC this evening at 6:30 p.m. in Corning.
