Williamson and Paulsen Named Athletes of the Week

Cross Country runner Zak Williamson (Rocky Point) and men's soccer player Tyler Paulsen (Letchworth) have been named the Alfred State College athletes of the week.

Williamson won the title at the annual ASC Cross Country Championship on Saturday.  He finished the 8K (5 miles) in 30:14.51.  He finished 15 seconds before the 2nd place runner.  Williamson helped the men's team win the overall title.

Paulsen scored three goals and passed out an assist this week as the men's soccer team downed Finger Lakes CC 2-0 and Jefferson CC 3-0.  Paulsen scored an insurance goal in the final seconds vs. FLCC and then scored two goals and passed out an assist in the win over JCC.  Paulsen lead the Pioneers (2-4-1) with four goals and an assist on the year.
