The Alfred State College men's soccer team recorded its second straight shutout with a 3-0 victory over Jefferson CC on Saturday.  With the win the Pioneers improve to 2-4-1 on the year.

Tyler Paulsen (Letchworth) had a big day to lead the Blue and Gold's offense.  He picked up an assist on the Pioneers first goal scored by Tim Jones (Ontario).  He then scored an unassisted goal to make it 2-0 before halftime.

Paulsen made it 3-0 in the 2nd half when he connected on a corner kick from Dom Bisone (Tonawanda).  Paulsen now leads the team with four goals on the season.

Tommy Vitro (Margaretville) recorded the shutout in net making two saves.

The Pioneers return to action on Tuesday when they step out of Region III Division III play with a 4 p.m. contest versus Division II foe Mercyhurst North East.
