A-State falls to Genesee CC

The Alfred State College men's soccer team fell behind 2-0 to Genesee CC on Thursday afternoon and couldn't rally back and fell 3-1.  The Cougars improve to 4-1 on the year while the Pioneers fall to 0-3-1.

Genesee led 1-0 at half and then added a goal before Joe Estes (Wheatland Chili) netted a penalty kick to cut the lead to 2-1.  The Cougars added an insurance goal to seal the game.

Joshua Kashuba (Marathon) made seven saves in net for ASC.  Genesee held a 15 to 6 shot advantage.

The Blue and Gold return home on Saturday to take on Broome CC at Noon.
