Chisolm Earns National Honor

A day after being named the Northeast Football Conference defensive player of the week, Alfred State College cornerback John Chisolm (Trenton, NJ) has been named the NJCAA defensive player of the week.  Chisolm is the first Pioneer football player to be honored by the NJCAA in Head Coach Mick Caba's tenure.

Chisolm, in his first start on defense after playing wide receiver as a freshman, broke the ASC record with his four interceptions in a game.  Chisolm finished the day with seven tackles (4 solo & 3 assists) and eight break-ups.

Isaac Odim of Rochester (MN) CTC was named the NJCAA Offensive Player of the Week while John Rachuna (Erie CC) earned Special Teams honors.

The Pioneers look to bounce back from their 22-21 opening game loss to Stevens Tech on September 10th when they take on SUNY Brockport's JV team at 4 p.m.
