Chisolm named NFC Defensive Player of the Week

Alfred State College cornerback John Chisolm (Trenton, NJ) has been named the Northeast Football Conference defensive player of the week.  Chisolm intercepted four passes in the Pioneers season opening 22-21 loss at Stevens Tech.

Chisolm, in his first start on defense after playing wide receiver as a freshman, broke the ASC record with his four interceptions in a game.  He picked off a pass in the 1^st quarter, the 3^rd quarter, and intercepted two passes in the 4^th.

Chisolm finished the day with seven tackles (4 solo & 3 assists) and eight break-ups.

Hudson Valley's Bobby Ransom was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week while John Rachuna (Erie CC) earned Special Teams honors.

The Pioneers travel to SUNY Brockport on September 10^th to take on the JV Eagles at 4 p.m.
