"Get Your Ad Running" Video Contest Winners

Alfred State College sponsored a "Get Your Ad Running" video contest during the just-completed spring semester. Using Alfred State College's tag line "Hit the Ground Running," contestants created a 30-second video showing why Alfred State College is the best place to get an education.

Seven members of the Alfred State College outdoor track & field team earned All-American honors at last weekend's NJCAA Division III National Championships.

Eight Pioneer Baseball Players Honored

Eight members of the Alfred State College baseball team have been named to the Region III Division II All-Region team. Kevin Underhill (Somers), Derek Speaker (Starpoint), and Bruno Saraceno (Binghamton) were first team selections while Andrew Foster (Clarkson, ONT.), Craig Kosnikowski (N. Tonawanda), Kelvin Espinosa (George Washington), Adalberto Vargas (Norman Thomas), and Yordis Veras (Newtown) were second team selections.

ASC 31st Annual Culinary Arts Exposition

Culinary arts and culinary arts/baking, production and management students at Alfred State College competed in the 31^st annual Culinary Arts Exposition, which featured an exhibit of Epicurean delights, earlier this spring.

Five professional chefs adjudicated the competition at Alfred State College's School of Applied Technology, Wellsville.

Lax Players Earn Awards

Four members of the Alfred State College lacrosse team have been recognized with postseason awards. The Pioneers returned to the Region III Tournament where they finished 6th with a 9-5 overall record and a 7-5 mark in Region III play.

ASC Celebrates 100th Anniversary on May 8

Smiles were the order of the day, Thursday, May 8, when Alfred State College, its faculty, staff, alumni, retirees, students, friends from all walks of life, and SUNY (State University of New York) gathered to celebrate the 100^th anniversary of the school's founding.
