Alfred State College is a State University of New York (SUNY) campus. Students representing more than 160 countries are enrolled at SUNY. They choose SUNY for the highly recognized faculty and the 5,000 courses of undergraduate study.
You are considered an International Student if you are not a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or do not have refugee status in the United States.

It was a different Alfred State College in those days. There was only one campus building, and that was located across the street from the current ASC campus at Alfred University. There were fewer students as well, and when it came to female students, well, they were practically non-existent.

Frequent Questions
Am I allowed to stay in the residence halls a little while longer during a break?
F1 students may stay from August through May without any additional charges. However, you must notify the Designated School Official of your intentions and comply with Residential Life policies.
