"WINS" (Women In Non-traditional Studies) FutureBound is an annual career exploration event coordinated by the Office of Career Development at Alfred State College. The goal of this event is to encourage female students to pursue non-traditional careers through the use of focused, "hands on" activities. This is a high energy, fun, motivational day. Approximately 100 local 10th grade female students will be attending along with their guidance counselors.
Wayne Bensley, ASC Assistant Professor in Physical and Life Sciences Department
Bensley is an assistant professor in the Physical and Life Sciences Department where he teaches chemistry. Prior to joining the ASC faculty, Bensley served as a forensic scientist at the Marion County Forensic Services Agency, Indianapolis and as an analytical chemist for Stillbrook Environmental Testing Laboratory. He holds a master of science degree in forensic science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a bachelor of arts degree from Syracuse University. He is a member of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and the Midwestern Association of Forensic Scientists.
