Reaching the New York City Market
Linking the Supply Chain: Western New York Farms and the New York City Market
Please join us for a one-day series of discussions among a select group of farmers, processors, end-users, governmental agencies and NGOs about the practical development of a supply chain linking western New York State farmers to the New York City market by 2010.
The panels will feature those involved in the New York City sustainable food movement, including Patrick Martins of Heritage Foods USA and Chef Bill Telepan; Western New York farmers, including Mary-Howell and Klaas Martens; and representatives of agricultural organizations, such as Tom Sleight of the New York Farm Viability Institute. Greg Bowman, Communications Manager for the Rodale Institute, will give remarks during lunch.
Introductions begin at 11:30 a.m., complimentary lunch is served at Noon, and the panels will run from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
