Homecoming/Family Weekend 2009

The Alumni Association, President John M. Anderson, and Student Activities Office are pleased and excited to welcome you “home” to Alfred State again this year, to participate in the various activities planned for you. Take a look at the schedule below, mark your calendars, and plan to join us for four days of fun and memories.

Thursday, Sept. 24

8 p.m. Dodgeball Tournament
So, if you thought last year was crazy, you haven’t seen
anything yet! This is your opportunity to come out and show
us your dodgeball skills. Teams of six can start signing up
Monday, Sept. 7 in Orvis Student Activities Center.		 Pioneer Stadium

Noon - 2 p.m. Alumni Luncheon at the Lake
Join your fellow alumni and President Anderson
for an upscale luncheon, recognizing the
classes of '59, '84, and '99.

Alfred Squares
The Alfred State version of TV's "Hollywood Squares", a newly
established homecoming tradition, is back for a second year.
Come see your most colorful faculty, staff, and greeks
compete against each other, testing their knowledge of trivia.
This event is family-friendly. Sponsored by Greek Senate.		 Orvis Auditorium
4 - 7 p.m. Tailgate Party with President Anderson
$9 per person/$12 at the door,
$4.50 for ages 12 and under/$6 at the door
The Alumni Association together with the Homecoming/Family
Weekend Committee will host a basket raffle. Tickets
may be purchased – 3 tickets for $1 or 30 tickets for $5.
Winners will be announced at 6 p.m. and MUST be present
to win. Proceeds from the raffle ticket sales will be donated
to the Centennial Endowed Scholarship and will directly benefit students at Alfred State.		 Tent near Orvis
7 - 10 p.m. Football vs. Globe Tech - $2 per person at the door
