Class dates: Monday, Jan. 3 - Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011
Time: 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. each day
Learn theory and hands-on installation of wind systems including: site assessment, tower and turbine selection criteria, site layout and design, and safe work practices. This course is designed to guide students to an understanding of wind systems and their components and the dynamics of wind resources for the effective installation of off-grid and grid-tie applications. Students will install a system including tower assembly, assembling the turbine, mounting the turbine on the tower, tower and turbine wiring, and raising a tilt-up tower.
