Class dates: Tuesday, Jan. 4 – Friday, Jan. 7, 2011
Time: 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. each day
In this 40 hour theory and hands-on installations course, you will learn solar site analysis, design layout and installation of photovoltaic (PV) electric systems. This course leads a beginner student to an understanding of photovoltaic systems and their components and integration into the electrical systems of a utility (grid intertie) or off grid home. Learn basic PV system safety, systems overview and equipment operation as well as sighting for a PV system. The NAPCEP entry-level PV Certificate of Knowledge exam will be offered following the class to those students who are interested. The exam fee is not included in the registration fee for this course. The exam may be taken without participation in the course.
