WNY Works builds skills to launch fulfilling careers

“WNY Works is a collaborative effort to heighten awareness and interest in associate degrees, certificates, and non-credit training to provide the knowledge and skills necessary for individuals to launch high-demand careers. The goal of this effort, in part, is to reframe perceptions of learning opportunities that lead to careers such as highly skilled trades and technical opportunities in manufacturing.”

US Rep. Tom Reed, R-Corning, recently held his fourth annual Manufacturing Summit at the Alfred State Lake Lodge. The event, which drew more than 100 local manufacturers, allowed businesses to connect with and learn from experts and colleagues within the manufacturing industry.
