Digital Media and Animation Studios - Students in DMA programs have access to a large traditional studio space for foundations in traditional materials, figure drawing, and 2D and 3D design. They also have access to a highly sophisticated computer lab that provides industry standard capability in 2D graphics, Web design, interactive media, motion graphics, 2D and 3D animation. Students enrolled in a DMA degree program have 24-hour access to these studios.
The Culinary Arts Department, in cooperation with our Campus Bookstore at Alfred State, have made available specially imprinted chef coats for culinary arts and baking students to wear while attending classes and lab. We are requiring students to have 10 long-sleeved chef coats, six (6) pairs of pants, and six (6) chef hats.
On the first day of class you will be required to have the supplies listed below for lecture and lab. For your convenience, we will have some of these items available for purchase on campus or you may purchase them at a location of your choice.
The following is a tool list for all building construction students. We do not endorse any vendor. We do suggest that you buy good American-made tools which are accurate and dependable to last your lifetime. It is recommended that these tools be insured under the parents' or the student's homeowners' insurance. There will be a $40 project fee in the first and second semesters. This covers the cost of materials on projects the students keep.

The following supplies and equipment must be furnished by each incoming freshman prior to the start of classes. We recommend purchasing a laptop through the HP laptop program, but it can be purchased anywhere as long as it meets the minimum requirements. It is highly recommended that the equipment be insured under the parents' or student's homeowners' insurance.
