Navigating Through Blackboard

The "My Institution" page

When you log into Blackboard, the first thing you see is the My Institution page.  It's divided into five areas:

1. Tools: Shortcuts to tasks like checking grades and changing your personal information.
2. My Announcements: Any announcements from your instructors, or locations on campus (example: the library or career center) will appear here. Important announcements about Blackboard are also posted here periodically.
3. My Calendar: Allows you to see a calendar of events you and your instructor can add to.
4. My Tasks: Allows you to see tasks assigned by your instructor and helps you organize yourself.
5. My Courses: All courses that you are enrolled in and that instructors have made available will appear here.  To enter a course click on the text link of the course title.
