Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B Training

Prepare yourself for the Department of Motor Vehicle’s road test.

Day and evening hour classes available.

Cost: $2,500 per person

This 65-hour CDL Class B training will provide 25 hours of classroom instruction and up to 40 hours of highway and city drive time, one-on-one with the instructor.

Learn vehicle inspection, air brakes, backing, slips, trips and falls, eye on defensive driving, accidents and breakdowns, speed and space management, log books, and much more.

The cost of the road test is included in the cost of the program (may take the test one additional time if needed) and will be scheduled by the instructor.

The road test will be taken with an Alfred State vehicle.

Prerequisites – Each student is required to be at least 18 years of age, hold a CDL class B permit with air brake endorsement, and submit a copy of their DOT physical prior to the start of the training. All the above MUST be provided to the Center for Community Education and Training at least one week prior to the start of the training.
