Student Checklist for Commencement

“To-do” list for students

  • ASAP: All students pay a fee in order to participate in the Commencement ceremony. If you are receiving more than one degree, you may be charged for additional accoutrements at the Campus Store. Bachelor graduates must pay an additional $30 for their required hoods. You need to attend the ceremony to receive your diploma cover and/or honor cord.
  • Monday, April 9: Graduation packets can be picked up from the Campus Store after April 9 during regular business hours. If you cannot receive your packet in person, you need to call 607-587-4020 to make other arrangements. You can also order graduation announcements for sharing news of your achievement with your family.
  • Sunday, May 13: Each graduate’s name is announced as he or she crosses the stage, which is why it is extremely important that you complete and bring the photograph card from the graduation packet with you. This card will help the photographer identify you. When your area is called forward, hand the card to the name reader on stage. You will have three professional photographs taken, including one with the college president, which will be taken before exiting the stage. These photos will be available to order through Grad Images.
  • Sunday, May 13: Remember to fill in and cut out the raffle ticket to the right and put it in the basket located on the car raffle table in the end zone of the Pioneer Field to be entered into the car give-a-way! You must be present to win.
