Executive Assistant to the President and Director of the Proposed BSN Program in the Nursing Department

Dr. Mary CondonDr. Mary Condon originally joined the faculty of Alfred State College in 1997; her responsibilities included teaching nursing courses, lab instruction, and supervision of students' clinical experience. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Condon led the College's Middle States reaccreditation self-study effort, and served as the chair of the ASC Faculty Senate. She also served on the Assessment Team and the Nursing Curriculum Committee, and participated in a variety of other campus committees.

Since leaving ASC in 2003, Condon has served in a variety of administrative and teaching capacities, including associate dean for undergraduate programs at the Decker School of Nursing at Binghamton University; associate professor of nursing, Elmira College; and program coordinator, Nursing Unit, the Pennsylvania State University, Mont Alto, College of Health and Human Development.

She is a board-certified women's health nurse practitioner and is also certified in Lamaze by the American Society for Psychoprophylaxis in Obstetrics. She has written several articles and chapters on women's health as it pertains to obstetrics. She has presented widely in the field of nursing.

Condon serves in the U.S. Army Reserve where she holds the rank of lieutenant colonel.

She holds a PhD in nursing from Adelphi University, Garden City. She also holds a master's and a bachelor's degree in nursing from SUNY (State University of New York) at Buffalo; she is an alumna of Bryn Mawr College.
