Tyler Peet (Unadilla Valley) led the Alfred State College wrestling team with a 2nd place finish in the 149 lb. weight class of the Jamestown Open.

Peet earned a 15-0 win over Riley Sheldon (Jamestown) in his opening match and then advanced to the finals with a 13-2 victory over Jordan Dickey (Unattached). In the finals he lost a hard fought 5-1 battle to Junior Amazan (Ithaca). Peet improves to 22-8 on the season and has placed in four tournaments.

The Pioneers fell behind 18-0 but scored the next ten points to cut the gap. Tyler Peet (Unadilla Valley) pinned Donovan Williams in 3:28 to make it 18-6 and Shawn Hanrahan (Unatego) earned a 10-2 decision over Jake Hydahl at 165.
JCC clinched the match with victories at 174 and 184 to up their lead back to 25-10 before TJ Nelson (Somers) earned a forfeit win at 197 to close out the evening.

In their opener, ASC was slowed by three forfeits in a 37-15 loss to WNYAC rival Niagara CCC. Cody Dill (Unatego) earned a pin 2:06 into his match at 133 lbs, Tyler Peet (Unadilla Valley) pinned his opponent in 2:50 at 149, and TJ Nelson (Somers) earned a 5-0 at 197 lbs.

Kyle Conrad (Bath) and TJ Nelson (Somers) earned pins in the dual match vs. DuBois while Tyler Peet (Unadilla Valley), Shawn Hanrahan (Unatego), and Alex Mieczkowski (Vernon-Verona-Sherrill) all picked up victories.

Cody Dill (Unatego) won 3-2 at 133, Anthony Brown (Bronx/Herbert Lehman) won 6-3 at 149, and TJ Nelson (Somers) won 6-2 at heavyweight. Kyle Conrad (Bath) also earned a forfeit win at 125 lbs.
