The Alfred State College swim team had a successful evening in their lone home meet of the season. The men's team scored 76 points and finished ahead of Erie CC (49) and Jamestown CC (39) while the women finished second with 38 points behind ECC's 63 and ahead of JCC's 35.

Ethan Wright (Clyde Savannah) and Cory Roberts (Marcus Whitman) were each double winners. Wright won the 50 free (23.70) and the 100 free (53.00) while Roberts won the 1650 free in 21:24.32 and the 100 butterfly in 1:01.38. Tim Guarino (Cornwall) won the 400 IM (5:57.56)

The men's 800 free relay team of Cory Roberts (Marcus Whitman), Wade Harrington (Campbell Savona), Josiah Halbolm (Bemus Point), and Ethan Wright (Clyde Savannah) finished 3rd (8:50.91) while the 400 medley relay team of Halbolm, Tim Guarino (Cornwall), Wright, and Roberts finished 4th (4:27.99).

Tim Guarino (Cornwall) was second in the 100 breaststroke (1:16.72), Josiah Halbohm (Bemus Point) was 2nd in the 100 back (1:11.93), and Wade Harrington (Campbell-Savona) swam the 500 free in 6:24.82.
Twenty Alfred State College student athletes have been honored with academic awards. Eleven Pioneers were named NJCAA Academic All-American, 13 were named Academic All-Region, and 20 were named Academic All Conference.

Women's basketball player Jacqueline Dresser (South Seneca) earned a 4.00 GPA to earn distinguished NJCAA Academic All-American. She was also an All-Region and All-WNYAC academic honoree.
