Women's soccer player Kali Muhleisen (Alfred Almond) and football player Colin Frazer (Woodbridge, VA) have been named the Alfred State athletes of the month for September.
Muhleisen has netted four hat tricks as the Lady Pioneer soccer team has raced out to a 10-1 record. She leads the team with 44 points on 19 goals and six assists. She has recorded points in nine of the blue & gold's eleven games. Currently she is 4th in NJCAA in both goals and points on the year for the #4 ranked Pioneers.

Frazer recorded eight tackles and a sack in the Pioneers win over Stevens Tech. He also recovered a fumble and scored a touchdown on a 87-yard punt return. His touchdown on the punt return was his second of the year.
On the year, Frazer has 348 return yards (246 on punt returns and 102 on kickoff returns) on the years. On the defensive side of the ball he has recorded 19
Special teams, especially the punting game, played a huge role as Alfred State defeat Stevens Tech 32-13 to improve to 2-1 on the year.
